Best four-slice toaster recommendations within a £100 budget

Sadly my four slice toaster is slowly fading away, constantly burning the bread on the right hand side and the left hand side stopped working weeks ago. So here I am asking the hive mind what's a great four slice toaster I can buy? Budget £100.

Assuming you're looking something more fancy but we had a bog standard grey one from asda, about £30...only gof rid as a 2 slice was better for us. Could fit proper slices of bread unlike those which won't take your average slice!

Ladymuckypuddle · 10/04/2026 13:06

@tinyladybird that sounds the kind of thing I'm looking for. Something you can fit actual bread in and not tiny little slithers of bread. Thanks will look at Asda.

I've got a delonghi one that was about £35, although it may have been on offer. Fits bread easily, and actually has the dials labelled for toast colour which I quite like as it's easier than arbitrary levels 🤣

I really like my Asda one - better than some more expensive ones I’ve had!

CarlaLemarchant · 10/04/2026 14:01

Our Delonghi is fine and looks nice. Bagel setting (we eat a lot of bagels). Doesn’t burn stuff. Can’t get more excited than that about it really.

Ladymuckypuddle · 10/04/2026 14:07

@CarlaLemarchant oh dh does like a bagel every now and then.

@InsolentAnnie just had a look and Asda have some lovely ones in.

@FestiveFancy I like the sound of these buttons.

A lot to ponder on the old toaster front 🤣

Sage toaster is the best investment we have made. I have the 4 slice with 2 long slots, it adjusts to different thicknesses really well & toasts more evenly than any mother toaster I have ever owned.

Ladymuckypuddle · 10/04/2026 15:17

@EskSmith I was reading your post thinking you were going to say "than any other mother fucker toaster" 🤣

I just chuck my bread in my air fryer, makes great toast and I can do up to 4 slices.

What sorcery is this?

I didn't know you could make toast in the Airfryer.

We had a Tefal Avanti 2 slice toasters for years probably fifteen plus years . When we had to replace it , I wanted a 2 long slot so we can do 4 slices or those nice long bits of bread . Cannot remember price but its a 'kealive '(probably Amazon)

Want a Sage one now

Ladymuckypuddle · 10/04/2026 22:14

I've had a look at sage today @70isaLimitNotaTarget from this thread but unfortunately they wouldn't go with my kitchen. Will take a look on Amazon, thanks.

Get it, you won't regret it!!

Break the budget and buy a Dualit. They last for decades, so cost far less in the long run. I wouldn't be without mine.

My mum has a dualit, there is no way on earth I would swap my sage for her dualit. Plus as far as I can see you can't get the 4 slice in a long slot version currently & long slots give so much more flexibility.

@NoIdeaWhyNow that article looks interesting. Thanks
