Is there a virus on the go that causes weird earache and fatigue.

Since Christmas I’ve had this twice and it seems to linger. Double earache, headache, feeling oddly spun out and depersonalised, with shocking fatigue and feeling generally unwell and very chilly. But absolutely no other symptoms.

No fever, gastro, cough or cold. Is it a thing? Anyone else have it?

Possibly sinus related- I always get earache with sinusitis. Any face pain ?

It doesn’t feel sinus related at the moment. Nobody else in the house has it though so it maybe that.

Yup, had that! Felt very COVID-like though I tested negative throughout. Worst I've felt in ages, like you say very weird and quite dizzy and nauseous. My ears are still blocked two weeks later. I thought it might be a lingering ear infection but there doesn't seem to be any pain so I'm just waiting it out with a steroid nasal spray. Still feel incredibly tired after two weeks, might try an e-consult and see what the GP says but I'm guessing they'll just tell me to watch and wait. Hope you feel better soon!

I currently have something not sure what..

  • upset stomach for a couple days
  • sore throat on and off
  • sinuses feeling a bit iffy but not amounting to much.
  • head feeling a bit fizzy fuzzy this morning
  • very tired
  • chilly/cold
  • feeling a little nauseous but maybe a product of the back of my nasal/throat feeling thick and weird.

Might be hayfever?

Dh has has this on and off for months since Christmas. It's like a long covid but isn't. The symptoms flare up every now and again but even on good days he has fatigue and has to rest a lot. He has seen GP and had full bloods done and is told its just a virus, residual symptoms that will eventually fade.
