The shard but not in London? Wow restaurant with amazing views

Good morning,
can anyone recommend a restaurant with the wow factor. Something like the shard but not in London?
Midlands/Wales area happy to travel but would avoid south coast as just a bit too far and prefer not London.
Thinking posh restaurant with piano and soft lighting vibe something a bit different for special birthday meal, two adults no children etc.
any suggestions would be welcome.

Not sure if it's quite what you are looking for - they seem to have nice interiors and high end rather than a view.

How about Altitude 28 in Swansea? I haven’t been there since it was the Grape & Olive so can’t tell you if the food is still good but the view is fabulous.
