Ideas for a summer fun day?

Hi,
I’m on the nursery committee who are planning a summer fun day. Think country village style. Has anyone been to any fun days/ fetes and seen or done any great ideas worth sharing?

I’ve done loads of PTA style events over the years -
all sorts of things

• face painting & tattoos
• raffle hampers/ tickets for days out and other prizes - use people’s personal contacts!
• water or wine, collect a loaf of wine gift bags (people have tonnes of them stashed!) and fill them with water or wine and put the “0” and “5” raffle tickets on them - always a popular stall
• we’ve also had circus skills/ bouncy castles, pony rides from the local farm park
• sawdust filled boxes with lucky dip things
• hay bails to sit on
• bbq & ice cream
• coconut shy
• spin the wheel
• kids tombola with “0” & “5” tickets and make the 50, 100 prizes the bigger items
• teddy bear tombola (you can buy kits for this better than used soft toys!)

hope it goes well - events like this are great to cover extras for settings/
schools
