Ah so Peed off, is anyone as stupid as me to make me feel better? Been out at a&e all day with my youngest (she’s absolutely fine) get home and think let me get a takeaway im starving. Well I only managed to order it to collect?! From a restaurant i cant even get to. So thats that then. Money down the drain! I don’t even know how I managed that as delivery is the default. Has anyone else done anything stupid like this to make me feel better?

Maybe if you ring them and explain they can change it to a delivery order? Worth a shot!

Mine would deliver. They would just ask for cash for the delivery fee when they arrive. Worth a phone call!

They called me when I didn’t collect they don’t have their own drivers sorry I should have said that

There’s no way to change it on the app i realised too late when it was ready for collection

So how do they usually deliver?

just eat arrange the drivers they work for just eat not for rhe restaurant

Can you order one more really small thing and they stick the rest in the delivery?

Yup, I ordered Chinese food online from a place in Camborne, Cornwall, instead of Cambourne Cambridge which is near where I live. I saw it online and thought somewhere new had opened up, can’t believe I didn’t notice the spelling difference.

We only realised when I put it into the sat nav to pick it up. Felt like a complete idiot when I had to call them to explain why no one was coming to get the food 🤭

No there is a minimum spend but would have been a nice idea!

Yes, I ordered on Just Eat without realising that I hadn’t updated my address and got a call from an (Essex based) restaurant asking if I really expected them to deliver to Norwich. Fortunately they saw funny side and cancelled my order at no extra charge

Ah wow im surprised something that far would show up mine only does around a 5 mile radius doesnt show any further restaurants nice of them to cancel though

You can use uber now to collect orders /items if they’re in your area?

Ah thanks but that would have costed too much wouldnt have been worth it

They have to close out the order. Why should they risk not being paid for your mistake?

Where did i say that? I was explaining one of the reasons why I can’t send an uber as it’s marked as collected

My son and his friends ordered McDonald's and a bunch of snacks from 7-11 on Friday night . He didn't change the delivery address so it got dropped off at his high school. His other friend lives right by the school so he lucked out with the late night snacks.
