Is this Linked In offer a scam?

I honestly think I’m daft asking but I could do with the cash if it’s legit. Someone allegedly working for a market research agency effectively offering to pay for an hour’s consultancy conversation. What they’re asking to discuss is of course related to my knowledge, but could obviously have be gleaned from my profile. They’ve emailed via linked in and then sent a follow up.
I have strong experience with the market leading firm in the field, but I am not unique nor particularly senior.
I’m currently on a career break having left that employer so no conflict of interest.
What do I do next?

Since you have received no answers here so far - and since I keep wishing people wouldn't dump everything in the catch-all forums like Chat and AIBU - may I suggest that you consider asking in the Work forum?

I get these all the time. Ignore. One of my colleagues did engage with it and said there were a lot of conditions around how you could actually get the money, which in her case I don’t think ever arrived. Depending on what it is that you do, some of the questions might also be difficult to answer without breaching your employer’s policies and/or a regulatory code (I am in a regulated profession).
