I bought a blazer from a seller with the labels and I paid £8
Labels were £59.99
She messaged me saying she sent wrong Jacket and got them mixed up with another order.
No apology …just you will have to send it back.
Anyway the day it arrived I went on holiday and won’t be back till 15th
Return deadline is 13th
i spoke to vinted and asked them what to do and they said they can’t extend return date.
If I don’t return by 13th seller receives payment for the blazer I bought.
Jacket she sent me is worth around £400
What do I do ?
if I post it back it will be outside of vinted and she will need my bank details to give me my £8 back plus I’m gonna have to pay for shipping (when it’s not my fault )
What would you do ?

Her mistake sadly. You can't help when your holiday is. Her mistake she pays return shipping its that simple.

So she’s had your payment of £38? And you won’t get that refunded?

I would offer to sell her the jacket through Vinted for £38. You can reserve it so no one else buys it accidentally.

That’ll mean she pays postage. She’ll have to pay a buyer fee on top of that but the alternative is she loses the jacket. I wouldn’t entertain doing it outside of Vinted.

If she has lots of very good reviews, I would probably investigate returning it if she refunds your money up-front via BACS and sends you a pre-paid mail label. If she seems a good seller, I wouldn’t want her to lose loads of money from a genuine mistake. The risk and cost still has to be hers though (and if it was more money at your end, I’d be more wary).

Oh, this is a good plan …

I would do as the above poster suggested. List and reserve it to her for the £8 (plus the buyers and postage you paid on the original item you wanted) I wouldn't keep such an expensive jacket given it sounds like a genuine mistake.

Sell the more expensive one yourself.

It’s a bit of a pain tbh
