I've had a few shitty years. Kind of started in 2018 with my dad's death (we had a complicated and dysfunctional relationship). Then COVID hit and my mum had a mental breakdown that ultimately led to her death in 2023 due to medical negligence. My own physical and mental health has been poor. Dealing with my only child growing up and things like COVID, Brexit, cost of living, Trump etc have added to my anxiety and sadness.
The current world situation is frankly the last straw. I'm retreating from it all as best I can. Deleting social media, no more forums(including Mumsnet) no more news (online or TV), I'm done with it. All it does is bring anxiety and stress.
