What are your children really into?

What are your children into? Like really into? My nephew, 7 has loved Pokémon and Pikachu from since he knew about it, I’ve bought him a huge moveable Lego Pikachu to make (his parents loved me for that not!), Pikachu plushies, Pikachu tops, preferably yellow. I once showed him the Australian fluffy animal that looks like a Pikachu and said if he was good I might get him one. Oh and he loves Dog Man, so he gets all the books and has a dog man plushie too.

His brother, 2, loves all cars, trucks, vehicles, he’s either going to be a racing driver or mechanic when he grows up.

Ducks/birds for one. Cats for the other. Both really love science though.

My 5 yo loves Lego and would very happily spend all day every day building something or other and says he wants to be a Lego build designer when he grows up

My daughter is a massive Pokémon fan too 🙂
She loves beads. Sorting beads and making jewellery/keyrings with them.
Give her a massive tub of beads and she can be happy for hours.

6yo - obsessed with everything Minecraft and has been for over a year. He also loves, in no particular order, all forms of transport, dinosaurs, science experiments, football, and scooting/skate park. Very ‘boyish’ activities which always amuses me as I was determined to let him play with anything/not put genders on toys but he’s never looked twice at a doll 😂

Mine are older now but actually their childhood loves have prevailed into teen years and beyond:
ds1 (now 20) - Star Wars / sci-fi and fantasy
ds2 - Lego and vehicles (preferably combined - he still has a Lego speed champions car in his Christmas stocking aged 16)
