Tips on how to restore stomach after long course of antibiotics.

I'm on last day of 3 week course of antibiotics.
Not been too bad but i had a hot chilli last night snd my stomach is in a bad way!
I've been taking a probiotic drink inbetween tablets but any other tips on how to restore my bad stomach?
Easter chocolate most definately not on the menu today!

Blue cheeses. Several different ones together on the same plate in the fridge. A tiny bit of each three times a day.

Natural yoghurt? I can eat it by the bucketful. Hope you feel better soon.

Probiotic yogurt was helpful for me when I had a horrible tummy bug recently. I had some twice a day for a couple of weeks.

Fibre, it’s prebiotic, and fermented foods. So beans, lentils, as well as veg. And kimchi, kombucha, sourdough etc.

Though you might find you need to gradually increase the se over a few days.

And as PP says a good bio yoghurt helps too, if you’re not too sensitive to the lactose. Greek yoghurt (proper Greek recipe, not Greek style) is a good source of protein too.

Some Bramley apple, chopped up and the pips (if any) removed but the skin and core left, zapped in the microwave for ca 3 minutes will also help. No need to add any sugar, the heat mellows the flavour.

I upped my intake of kefir after I was on antibiotics. I also took these probiotics. I think your gut microbiome will be wiped out for months after antibiotics though (according to a Zoe podcast I listened to) so whatever you do try to help, continue for a while.
