Massive tub of ibuprofen. So much cheaper. They do a “pm” version that are great to help with sleeping!

Clefable · 04/04/2026 13:59

Tylenol PM is so good.

Morepositivemum · 04/04/2026 13:59

Glossier if you usually can’t get it!!

Ferryl · 04/04/2026 14:00

Do they still sell Tylenol pm? Last time I was there, admittedly about 10 years ago, I couldn’t find it.

Clefable · 04/04/2026 14:04

They do! You can also get a Tylenol and Motrin combo, which is paracetamol and ibuprofen in one. You can get melatonin too.

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 04/04/2026 14:06

Ours is walgreens own brand I think.

Xiaoxiong · 04/04/2026 18:41

We always come back with
massive bottles of medications like ibuprofen, melatonin, antihistamines
baking stuff like bags of chocolate chips, caramel chips, peanut butter chips
bottles of maple syrup and bags of maple sugar
big boxes of dryer sheets
heavy duty ziploc bags

Literally nothing, the prices there are unhinged and the ingredients they put in food terrifying.

Boring! 🥱

LakeGeneva1 · 05/04/2026 22:24

If you have a Costco near you, prices aren't too dissimilar. They just don't sell the melatonin everyone seems to be obsessed by!

ThatWaryLimePeer · 05/04/2026 22:28

I always buy peanut butter M&M’s for my DS.

How cheap are the ibuprofen there then as own brand are really cheap here?

MrsWhites · 05/04/2026 22:32

Very boring but I always buy the triple antibiotic cream, very useful to have and you can’t get without prescription here.

Secret deodorant because it’s literally sweat proof and smells lovely, mini hand sanitizers from bath and body works (can get them in uk now but so much cheaper in US).

Absolutely this. I’m amazed at people buying baking ingredients and chocolate from there 🤮 and I’ll stick to my Tesco own label ibuprofen thank you.

honestly I think it was fun to shop in the US 15-20+ years ago but that is no longer the case, prices are bonkers and their president even more so.

franklymydearscarlett · 06/04/2026 00:04

My friend always buys the bath and bodywork’s hand sanitisers and they all smell absolutely rank

redboxerclub · 06/04/2026 03:28

Yes trump is bonkers but the USA is still a country of great beauty and wealth of knowledge and we must not forget that not all are corrupt and incompetent, what ever our view align with.

anyway! I bought some melatonin and I have some fucidic acid at home but I should buy the Neosporin cream. Two blocks of toxic velveeta cheese to indulge DH as he likes to cook with it (makes queso dip) some insanely flavoured crisps and orange Fanta (same colour as trump). I also got a lot of clothes much cheaper. Food prices are insane and I don’t know why? They produce a lot? Clothes are cheaper Pair of Nike trainers, reebok shorts, beach dress, beach trousers, havianas, Calvin Kline bra. Considerablly cheaper than the UK.

melatonin was 17.99!

Let’s hope my taxi driver is right and the November mid terms will see a rise in democrat senators (I think in the house of representative I think) and then a majority with lead to the immediate impeachment of trump.

The US isn't the president just like the UK isn't its prime minister. Politics on a "what should I buy at Walgreens" post is asinine.

Clothes at Walmart are cheap and nice. There are some Lee trousers I bought for work $20 which are £80 here. Some nice shoe places, too.

jay55 · 06/04/2026 04:36

I like the pretzels fulled with peanut butter, and the crackers with peanut butter. The cheese ones are okay too.
i also usually pick up cornbread mix and jolly ranchers.
Tide pens

Snap! I’m in the US once a month and I never buy anything. Their food is full of carcinogens that are banned in the EU and the clothes are no cheaper than the UK due to the exchange rate.

Doggodoggo · 06/04/2026 07:27

I like the cinnamon chewing gum, very spicy!

Where are you getting tretinoin from in America?
