Please talk me down as I am super freaked out!! I’m not spiritual/ a believer of the supernatural but something really creepy happened last night and I need it rationalising. So was driving home with husband, on a motorway, brand new car. Kids asleep in the back, it was dark. Suddenly, a really high pitch shrieking/ screeching sound that lasted about 3 seconds. I whipped my head to the sound (next to my partners window) as it sounded very similar to heavy metal or metal scraping, I honestly thought I’d hit something. Nothing there. Husband also turned head at same time and put his hand to left ear which is where the area of the sound came from! We both said “what the hell was that?!” He said “that sounded like a shrieking demon!!” And my stomach dropped because it honestly did, it was a horrendous sound and I had goosebumps all over. I wasn’t applying breaks, windows closed, no car faults (as I say it’s brand new less that 200 miles on clock). Radio was on but a song we are familiar with. My husband is a very unspooked “man’s man” that is straight downstairs in the middle of night to any sounds etc. so he isn’t a scared man or one that would humour anything like this but we honestly can’t explain it! We then get home and he gets out to check the side of the car and we see finger marks dragged along the side of the car where the sound come from!!! What the hell! I found it really hard to sleep. Really creeped me out. Please help my otherwise rational brain explain it 😭😭 if anyone is a bit supernatural what would this mean?!
