Nothing can't see a single person ,no cars going up and down the road.

The mountain rescue helicopter is buzzing around and I can see lights of the team on foot. I hope everything is ok but it’s a normal occurrence where we live. I was out at the bin earlier and I think I heard fox cubs close to the house, the vixen was around earlier and I have a suspicion she’s had them at the bottom of our garden. I hope so as I love watching them play when they get a bit bigger.

Nothing that I can see, My living room is at the back of the house though so it could all be going on out there and I'm oblivious.

CautiousLurker2 · 03/04/2026 22:09

Nothing. Houses either empty dur to building work or families away for Easter. Am rather relieved to have my dogs and teenage son for company. Other DC and DH in London for a Muse concert.

halfpasteleven · 03/04/2026 22:15

Not a thing except the sound of silence here. We live on a country road and apart from DS getting dropped home from his friends house there hasn’t been a sound in the last hour. It’s very peaceful and I’m grateful for it.

Eyesopenwideawake · 03/04/2026 22:17

A javali (wild boar) family are snuffling and grunting their way through the horse poo pile.

It's wild.

Totally dark and dead out here, apart from a fox casually checking the bins (and lifting his leg up).

I didn't know foxes lifted legs.

You live and learn.

I live in a quiet street which is full of pensioners like me. So its quiet and dark apart from the hippy family across the road. They are quiet but every light is on. All the other houses have blinds firmly closed. I can see the towers of Grangemouth refinery lit up in the distance and Aldi is lit up too. Must be the cleaners.

VenusClapTrap · 03/04/2026 22:47

All quiet and dark here, apart from the occasional car. I can hear the wind in the trees, now that the dc have finally stopped wittering and taken themselves off to bed. No owls tonight.

cauliflowercheeseplease · 03/04/2026 23:01

Kids throwing Eggs at peoples windows. DP went chasing after them in his slippers and dressing gown. Facebook neighbourhood group reported police have been called. Happens every time the kids break up.

I love threads like this.

LBFseBrom · 03/04/2026 23:03

Nothing.

Olderbutt · 03/04/2026 23:05

Top of a close, so not much. The guy 2 doors down has just reversed his van to get his BMW out then put his van back on the drive!

Just heard two cars beeping horns and there's a hum of traffic from the main road (we're on a side street). Strangely quiet for an inner city area.

Update - wanker revving his engine with a loud popping exhaust.

I haven't heard any owls tonight either. The sheep seemed a bit unsettled so I just popped out with the dogs for a last check but all's well. It's a lovely peaceful evening.

Treadcarefully11 · 03/04/2026 23:25

Lambs everywhere. We’re surrounded by them.

hahabahbag · 03/04/2026 23:26

The coastguard went past a few minutes ago, they are based just down the street, could be a cliff or mud rescue but as this time of night they are more likely to be helping the police trace another wandering dementia patient - I say another because I know of 5 appeals this week. My heart really goes out to everyone dealing with this as it’s so hard

Ohthatsabitshit · 03/04/2026 23:35

Nothing but darkness here.

SirChenjins · 03/04/2026 23:53

Nothing whatsoever to the front. The owls were hooting in the trees at the back earlier but they have quietened down.

In the very best Car Share tradition - Dogging.
They congregate on the conservation fields this time of the evening.
I don’t know why as the houses round here have a third of an acre gardens so you’d think they could just do their dogging in their own gardens but no, they traipse up to the conservation fields.

I accidentally went dogging once. Totally accidentally

mathanxiety · 04/04/2026 00:46

Cars going by occasionally, north and southbound. Two joggers and one person walking a dog, joggers northbound, dogwalker southbound.

A loud motorbike has just zipped past.

Friendlygingercat · 04/04/2026 01:25

Nothing to be seen on my cctv. After dark just the occasional car headlights. I live in an ethnic area and parents do not allow their kids out on the streets after dark.

novocaine4thesoul · 04/04/2026 01:46

I live on the coast, with the sea in front of me, and a coastal road (which is usually fairly busy). Since I started reading this thread just two cars have gone past, and it is too quiet. This is a very disappointing level of activity for 1.38 on a bank holiday Saturday morning. Normally we have some revellers, maybe some animals crossing (fox and cats) or we have banging waves or driving rain to admire. Or even taxis, to pick up revellers. In 3-4 hours, I suspect the first of the dog walkers or runners will be out with torches on.

Tarkan · 04/04/2026 02:10

It’s quiet tonight. You should have asked on Wednesday when there was a fight in the next street over and I overheard things like “I’ll put you in a coffin you cunt” and “I’ll bite your toes off you prick”. They got quite inventive. And this was only like 9pm or something too. One guy got arrested and I’m pretty sure the banging I heard after that was him kicking the hell out of the police van. I did not envy them that shift.
