Spent last night telling 40 men they were either too limp or that one finger will do the trick - like to guess my hobby?

It was a fun night with men actually listening to my feedback 😀

I had to google Ceroc and it sounds great. That’s a big class you’re dealing with!

MyGirlDaisy · 02/04/2026 13:08

Thank you! Sounds fun - hope they all remember for the next class!

i’ve noticed that generally men take one class and then think they are John Travolta. Plus they’ve focusing on the fact they’re feeling confident that they know the moves but are not thinking at all about their partner and what their partner needs.

I should have guessed. Although I used to take the lead when I helped with modern jive/ceroc.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone. You don't need a partner and it's very sociable.

Amazing that you had 40 men! We used to struggle hence me being a lead.

Yes! It’s great for everyone - everyone was a beginner and people are very considerate to beginners. For anyone reading who’d like to do it, please go along!

The women loved me being lead as I understood them and lead well.

Our group closed due to dwindling numbers. There's one about 30 minutes away and we keep saying we'll go. I feel inspired. I might go next week.

Well done @MyGirlDaisy

Agree with the heavy handedness when it comes to be lead. Thank goodness the men listened.

Quite. Men don’t know just what an absolute pleasure it is to dance with a lead who is firm lead with good tension and yet is gentle with handling
