Trying to identify a children’s book about a hungry bear

My DH & I are desperate to find a book that we borrowed from the library and read to our boys when they were younger. Sadly, we can not recall the name of the boom or the author. We have even tried chatgpt/Google with the details we do recall with no joy.

The details we do know, looking at late 90's or early 2000's as ds1 was born in 2001 and ds2 in 2004. It was a children's book, about a bear who woke from hibernation, very hungry, ate lots of food (real food, not things like insects or mud pies) and at the end of the story, he left one small grape.

Does this jog anyone's memory? We realise it's not a lot to go on. It's driving us insane and we would love to read it to our granddaughter!

Is it the bear ate your sandwich?

Ooh this rings a bell with me and now I really want to know!
This isn’t the one with two bears and they both go off to buy each other food and end up eating it all, is it? I remember they save one measly piece of food for each other, that could be the grape 🤔 …I doubt that’s it, but I’m joining the thread because I need to know now 😁

Wait I think it might be! I just googled and “two hungry bears” does have the line “and one small grape”
