Norfolk dog walks

My husband and I are spending Easter in Wells next the Sea in Norfolk and taking our dog. I’m looking for ideas for circular dog walks, preferably at least 5 miles long. We know the Wells / Holkham loop but looking for other ideas. Thank you!

Thanks for the link, that’s really useful. I’ll have a look through those ideas. Anyone else got any they could recommend from experience? Preferably where the dog can be off the lead for most of the walk.

You can also do the other way so park at Holkham beach but head west. Lovely combo of dunes, beach and pines.

Holkham Hall is a nice walk too but not 5 miles (circular around the lake), although dog needs to be on lead.

Holt has a country park.
Felbrigg national trust not too far away.
Brancaster Staithe.

We love it there!

Park in Burnham Thorpe and do a circuit. Ditto North Creake. Some is lanes but much on tracks. Get the OS Explorer map and use your imagination.
Nice there and back Blakeney to Cley along the seawall, ditto Overy Staithe to nowhere and from Little Walsingham to the Slipper Chapel along the old railway line.

And of course Wells to Stiffkey along the seawall, pub lunch, back.

I don’t know how to turn it into a circular route but you can park at Stiffkey and walk along the creak out to amazing white sand flats over little bridges. It’s really gorgeous and usually fairly empty. I discovered it with the kids when the car park at Wells was full and here was white sand totally empty! Would be lovely with the dog!
