Are your teens teeth yellow?

DS has lovely straight teeth- after years of braces - but I think they’ve become really yellow. He had issues with hyperplasma with his baby teeth, and I wonder if thin enamel with adult teeth makes this worse. He does drink coke - which I do tell him will make his teeth worse - but he also brushes well.

anything he can do? He’s nearly 16

Take him to the dentist and get a scale & polish, ask about a professional whitening kit if they think he needs one.

Some people naturally have yellower teeth than others, but brace wearing can also affect the colour of teeth.

I’d speak to the dentist to check their overall teeth health and discuss options for whitening (if this is something your teen would be interested in).

Does he wait at least half an hour after eating before brushing? Enamel can be worn away if not.

My teeth came through without any enamel. They've always ben a creamy colour (not as white looking as others). The gold news is they haven't got worse with age (late 50s). I do have one that has chipped a good chunk off, but I've still got the rest - according to dentist, in good condition for my age.
