AI thread titles

These AI generated thread titles are really annoying. People keep using them even when they don't accurately represent the post, then half the replies are taken up by people questioning that or only responding to the title.

It's not the fault of AI, it's the laziness of not typing your own title. Honestly don't think we need AI to write the title. Where will it end? We get AI to write the posts? Kind of defeats the object of Mumsnet.

It auto suggests a title based on the post content.

Surprised they haven't just introduced AI replies. 🙄

Agree. I'd rather just chat to people.

There's quite a longish thread about this on Site stuff - started when MN first introduced the AI title nonsense.

How do you know when they are AI? I can't tell

A few I've read recently the replies are answering the thread titles but the thread title doesn't match properly to what the op is asking. So half the replies are unpicking this and clarifying and confusion

For example the it's hard to work from home with young children thread.

AI writes plenty of MN posts sadly .
