Hi there
Trying to decide what to do house wise. 2 adults, 8 year old and 6 year old boys. Currently upstairs we have 2 decent sized bedrooms, one teeny 3rd bedroom and one bathroom (plus toilet downstairs). Loft conversion is husband's office with big computer and his gym equipment. Clothes are dried in our front room.
We could either a) borrow more on mortgage to add an extension which would allow a 2nd bathroom, utility room, and bigger bedroom for son. This would be tight money rise and obv interest rates likely to rise
Or b) build a 2 room, insulated garden office so one room could be used to dry clothes and other for husband's office. Turn teeny bedroom into a 2nd bathroom and move son into loft conversion room.
The 2nd option is obviously alot cheaper than the first but is it a crazy idea? Tell me reasons why if so, or alternatively tell me it's a good idea if you agree. Thankyou!
