Has anyone had PMU eyeliner done? Will I be able to go out with friends later that day?

I am booked in for cat eye liner but im out with mates for a few drinks and a meal later that day.

I know i wont be able to wear makeup on my eyes but will I a) be able to see or will there be a lot of swelling and b) will I be able to wear my contacts that night?

Ooh, and c) will I be in pain or discomfort?

Would be good to hear experiences!

My eyes were swollen and sensitive, ice pack should sort it but it will sting and you will have swelling.

Had it done twice. No swelling or pain after, just couldn’t touch it and no makeup for 2 weeks on it but absolutely no issue going out.

Hurt like fuck getting it done. Eyes streamed for about a minute after but then totally fine.

Argh - wasn't sure if it would hurt having it done. Was hoping they'd use numbing cream!

I had numbing cream for mine and it was still stingy. Mine were also swollen for AGES (sorry!)

I really wanted this, but I'm not sure I can cope with the pain or disruption

OP, if you look on YouTube, there's videos of people immediately after they've had it done and then like a video diary of the days after

I was imagining I wouldn't be able to leave the house for three days

I had it done in the morning and then visited family all afternoon. So didn’t get chance to chill my eyes until much later. It was a bit sore by evening but not unsightly. Healed pretty quickly and painlessly. I would have been able to go out that evening but probably would have chosen glasses (more to avoid touching and to cover up mascara-less eyes).

pain level was 3/10 - easily tolerable for an hour or so. I’d say it was highly worth it. Looks great 7 years later and barely needed a top up. Had very light tight liner on the bottom and Smokey on the top (subtle). Been a tiny bit of bleed on the top if I am being very critical but ultimately this looks better with aging lids.
