Will US politics remain as dangerous after Trump, with Vance likely next?

I thought initially the answer will be Trump dying… but this regime is entrenched so deeply it’s petrifying.

Yes, I think so. Trump did say on the campaign trail this time around (at least twice) something along the lines of, if you vote for me you will never have to vote again. Not sure how he would swing that (the mid-terms might provide a clue). But I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Vance runs for the next election, with Trump as his running mate/VP, only to "step down" when/if elected in order to usher Trump in again as POTUS for a third term.

I sincerely hope not. It's bad enough that we've got yet another three years or so to go with the current sh~tshow. ☹️

Yes. Vance will be more dangerous. He has enabled Trump throughout current term. He won't be any different

American here (though thankfully don’t live there anymore, I do vote). I don’t think Vance will get elected and I’m not even sure he would be the Republican nominee. Democrats have been steadily taking back key Republican held seats/offices where there have been special elections. I think even a lot of Republicans see Vance as a bit of a wet fish. He’s a bit popular with the Heritage Foundation sort of loonies because probably boning Erika Kirk, but I think he’s a bit too Harvard for many Republicans. There are scarier possibilities, but Trump is not really doing the party any favours. I think a Democrat will be elected next time (assuming no election fiddling, hopefully Elon has gotten bored with that 🙄).

As long as the country is massively in debt it will be scary dangerous.
Desperate times means desperate measures.
