Im wanting to go to Bucharest Romania for a weekend.

I`ve never been so came to ask before i book anything.

Is the airport far from the city?
What would you recommend hotel wise full bord or half or just eat out ?
I have looked at a few hotels but not made my mind up.
Have you been, whats best to look at?
Just me going solo.

I could get all imfo from google and will look it up but would also like to ask you netters, if you have been for a more insight on it.

I went to Bucharest solo and really enjoyed it 😊 Henri Coandă International Airport is only about 30 mins from the city, so super easy to get in with Uber. If you’re planning to explore a bit outside the centre, renting a car can actually be a good option as well — it gives you a lot more flexibility. I wouldn’t bother with full or half board as food is really cheap and it’s nicer to eat out, especially around the Old Town. It’s not packed with sights, but perfect for a relaxed weekend, and I felt totally fine travelling alone.

I went to Bucharest but went to OTP airport. We went to therme spa which I didn’t think would be my bag but I actually really enjoyed it. There’s a hotel there too and a shopping mall - it’s not cheaper at all. We then hired a car and went to other parts of Romania. We stayed in an Airbnb from booking.com. I wouldn’t recommend this as it was so hard to find and then difficult to get in as well.

Go to Therme Spa for half a day , old town is nice , Cișmigiu Parc is lovely. And so is Herastrau park, There are a lot of lovely restaurants, try one of the rooftops. There is one on top of the national theatre. I stayed at Radisson blu in the centre, close to the old town . Please do not take a local taxi as trying to rip you off , only Uber or Bolt. Enjoy! I love Bucharest.
