I have a new boiler and I Ve been given a digital thermostat which doesn't work properly and my radiators are Stone cold. Is there anyway, I can ask the electrician to provide me with a manual one he is coming back on Wednesday.

Yes of course you can ask for that if you’re happy to pay for a replacement?

Was it working properly when he fitted and checked it? Is it that you’re finding it too complicated to programme properly?

Otherwise, it could be a plumbing issue rather than electrical?

We have a manual on/off switch for our central heating and it drives me batty. There’s no thermostat so you have to manually switch it off when the room gets warm enough then switch it back on again an hour later when it’s dropped too cold. You can’t set it to just warm the water without the central heating being on. It’s a shit system! Somehow the house got a BER rating of B but fuck knows how!?

I do have a switch , but the electrician told me not to touch it. He didn't test it. He just gave ne a manual and said the instructions are in here. If I switch to a manual thermostat I wouldn't have to pay be ause I aren't from a housing assocjation

An inspector cane to have a look at the work that had been done from the boiler to the thermostat, and he said that the thermostat sensor should be put outside the property, not inside. But when I googled, it said it should always be put inside and even the inspector couldn't get my heating to be raised up as I said before , the radiators are stone co

Update... the digital thermostat sensor has been moved from inside to outside my property because when the inspector looked he said it should be outside. The electrician who installed it xane back and moved it. Then the heating came on but but the radiators were barely warn.

I pushed the temperature on the thermostat up from 23 to 39 and I tge thermometer it said desired temperature 30, room temperature 23 so it cannot be changed from 2e to 30.

I gave sciatica and it gets quite painful if I am too cold. Someone is coming on Wednesday ti sort it but ive said I want the person tk bring a manual thermostat which is easier and will heat my flat properly.

Has anyone else had this issue
