English Easter hols

Hello all! Can anyone advise me of the Easter school holiday dates for English school? Do you guys return the week of 13th April? Looking to bring the kids to Alton towers for a day but have two ND children and keen to go when it’s a wee but quieter, but tied to when husband can realistically get annual leave. Thanks in advance!

I think most schools in England do back that week, some have an inset day on the Monday though.

We’re off that week and Catholics school tend to be in school until Good Friday too so they will be off then.

Some schools have started their holidays already, some start their holiday this Thursday

My niece and nephew are Staffs based and they’re back at school w/c 13th April.

I'd go w/c 20th April just to be sure.

Most people seem to be back w/c 13th but there will be some areas who are a week later.

Our local schools go back on 20th (not near Alton Towers)

Everyone is off for the week either side of Easter (so two week total). The private schools where I live are also off the following week but that week will still be a lot quieter than when everyone is off

So yes I agree w/c 20th April to be sure all
uk schools are back. The privates round here go back Tuesday 21st

We don't go back until 21st. I've got a bargain holiday as a result. We haven't broken up yet though.

There's no set rules. Some schools are doing the week before and the week after easter day and are going back to school on the 12th, some are going back on the 19th. Schools are allowed to choose these days. I arranged a holiday with a houseshare between 3 families all in England and there's only a small overlap when all 3 schools are on holiday.

This is not the case this year. Some state and private schools are not breaking up until this coming Thursday.

@Imdonewithsergio it’s fairly safe to assume that the majority of schools will have returned by Monday 20th (a few return Tuesday 21st.). There’s still quite a few schools off in w/c 13th (Manchester schools for example).

We’re back at school on 13th, but my sisters kids are back the week after.
