European Destination: city or countryside + spa?

I’m looking for idea for a long weekend for a special celebration. I’d definitely love a spa day but also some sightseeing or countryside. (I know that’s two very opposing ideas which is why I’m stuck!). No more than three hours flying time from the uk. Any ideas? It could be a hotel with spa facilities or a day spa.

I went to a spa in Zurich with a friend and it was fabulous. I saw lots of brochures for spas in the Swiss mountains which looked even lovelier, but I liked seeing Zurich and taking a gorgeous boat trip with lunch on the lake.

there's this lovely spa in Ribeauville, and you could do both countryside and nearby cute towns from there - Ribeauville itself, Colmar, Riquewihr, Eguisheim etc. Strasbourg. Basel or Freiburg would be about an hours drive.

Budapest though I heard one of the main spas were closed so check
