Quiz drinks

Local please near us does a quiz on a Sunday evening. Not a pub, an all day type place. Chain.

I don't want to drink on a Sunday night and also not a huge fan of soft drinks in general (prefer a coffee but really only want one in the evening). How many drinks do you think you need to buy pp to not take the piss? It's only a pound each to enter. Thanks!

What would you usually drink at that time of night? An all day place would most likely do hot chocolate, decaf coffee as well as fruit juices (and perhaps a wide range of 0.0% beers). I think just order what you want to drink - you are only taking the piss if you are drinking lots of tap water. Also it depends how busy it is - if it’s a bit quite - they need you to fill out the quiz, if it’s rammed- they might be miffed at you nursing a glass of tap water.

I have one coffee, but other than that just water. I guess I could go wild and have two coffees 😂

I used to have a lemonade and lime when I did a pub quiz. Nowadays I would have a diet bitter lemon and soda - if I was lucky enough to find a pub that sold it!
