I've been at home all day, doing chores etc, and there is a mildly amusing parking situation. Slow burn, unlikely to be any exciting updates.
Opposite my flat is a row of 7 parking spaces, closely bounded by a spiky hedge. There are numbered spaces for various flats, and one visitor space in the middle. People are generally very good about using their own space, if there's a trades van in the 'wrong' space for a while, people don't mind.
This morning at 11.30am I noticed there was an estate car (red rectangle) parked longways across 3 spaces. I have lived here more than 20 years and never seen anyone park like that before.
Some of the other spaces were/are empty, so it wasn't immediately an issue, but still quite weird.
At 3.45pm I saw that a car (yellow rectangle) had been parked longways next to it. Very closely. You certainly couldn't open the driver's door, which is on the side away from the hedge, and a slim person might be able to get in the passenger side, but they would get quite well poked by the spiky hedge.
At the moment red car could get out by reversing carefully towards the van. I'm very tempted to ask my neighbour who owns the van if he wants to move it one space over, into the visitor space.
Red car might be abandoned, or the owner might be away for the weekend, or I may look out tomorrow morning and find that they've both gone. But I thought the MN parking watchers might enjoy it.
