Suri toothbrush

I saw someone demonstrating a suri electric toothbrush but they cost a lot of money. Someone i know said it's not worth it because she uses a manual toothbrush and said it's the way you brush your teeth which is important, and she has had no dental treatment for 8 years and she's never used an electric toothbrush

If you brush your teeth perfectly with a manual toothbrush then yeah, you likely don’t need an electric one
my dentist said oral b IO was the one to go for

the SURI toothbrush uses a <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&rct=j&url=www.marieclaire.co.uk/life/health-fitness/suri-toothbrush-review&ved=2ahUKEwj9wfujscGTAxVVWEEAHWKwAswQy_kOegQIARAB&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw0DO6sW5bsp55_hwxWde5dU&ust=1774745755730000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">UVC LED light in its charging travel case to sanitize the brush head, killing bacteria between uses. This UV sanitizing feature works when the brush is stored and charged in the case. It is designed to disinfect, though physical rinsing of the brush is still recommended to remove paste buildup.

I had one. It was a total pain in the arse to charge. I swapped it for a different one.

So these are about £70. What was wrong warmth the charge. Do you think k they are a gimp and dud you think you wasted your money because for what you paid for ut you could have put the money to better use

The chargers are shit and break. We have never used the insane uv light thing. But it’s a reasonably-priced electric toothbrush if you wait for offers or use Boots points. I like that it’s (allegedly) repairable or recyclable, after having to break into a Sonicare one to tighten a screw.

I have a Suri at the moment. I've previously had Oral B, Phillips and Spotlight.

Ranked in order of preference - Suri, Spotlight, Phillips, Oral B.

I've noticed my client's oral hygiene get worse when switching from oral b to suri.

Ask your dentist before you buy one as I don't know any colleagues that rate them

BauhausOfEliott · 28/03/2026 16:37

I’ve got a Suri. I love it. Easy to charge, comes with a tiny charger instead of a horrible ugly base, also has a travel case you can charge it in. Replacement heads are expensive if you get the Suri branded ones but you can easily get cheap dupes on Amazon in the same colours.

I’m sure it’s not any better at cleaning your teeth than any other sonic toothbrush, but it’s definitely better than a manual one.

My dentist and hygienist both praise my dental hygiene every time I visit them, so I’m satisfied it’s doing a good job.

Well I know someone who uses a manual one and she hasn't had any treatment for 7 years abd she has a check up every 6 months abd sees the hygienist every 3 months. Her niece is 30 abd also uses a manual brush and has never had a filling

That’s not an evidence base.

applecharlotte · 28/03/2026 17:29

Yes we switched back from Suri to Oral-B as the brush heads just didn't clean our teeth as well. I just disinfect our oral b toothbrushes with retainer tablets in a glass regularly.

It means they are either brushing propey or have naturally good teeth.
