Ive been in hospital for nine weeks rushed in with massive infection. Every time the try to reduce the antibiotics or change them to oral I spike temperatures and they have to restart. I obviously have an untouchable infection,

I have squamous cell cancer with unknown origin. Its been three years two years of chemo kept it in place but now its growing in my lymph nodes. Surgery not possible as i would bleed too much. Immunotherapy was supposed tonsave me but Ive never really had. chance to give it a go due to my bad luck,, vascular surgery, then taking my shin skin off then colitus! Infeel cursed!

my consultant is willing to try immuno again but he honestly doesnt think my temp will stay down long enough.

the other option is home on profilactic antibiotics and a care package. I feel like this is the only option really. I miss my cats. I feel so well in myself its so unfair. What started off the size of a peanut is going to kill me and god knows when that will be. Judging by the whispering and my consultant telling me to start smoking again it must be soon.

I feel sick!

I’m so sorry op. I’ve been following your story and am thinking of you.

I’m so terribly sorry & sad to read your news @EachandEveryone.

There are many of us “up North” and if you are comfortable sharing your location then we could perhaps help in some way.

Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting a MN Choir singing outside your window, but then again - we could make it happen if it’s what you want! Otherwise, there’s cakes, toiletries, nice perfumes and a million other things that could easily be brought to you xx

I hope you’ve someone to look after your lovely cats. I hope you aren’t in pain 😔♥️and I hope you aren’t alone xx

I'm so sorry you didn't manage to get home after all.

I hope you are still managing to hold on to a little hope. Hospice care isn't always a one-way street, and where there's hope, there's always a chance. For now, I hope you are comfortable and are feeling loved and cared for by those around you.

Sending thoughts and love to you x

My husband was a month in a hospice but made it home and managed to eat a belated Xmas dinner. Hope the pains under control, you get no medals for grinning and bearing it !

ChillWith · 12/06/2026 12:06

So sorry OP and sending much love and a big hug too. Now is not the time to hold back so say all the things you need to say, tell the team when you really need help, and get the team to help you to use the commode. Where there's a will there's a way 🫡
