My DH is the director of a business with three others. It's a pretty niche market and for the last two years they have been trying to develop a product. They have spent a lot of money on a specialist company to develop it. About three months ago, that company said they thought they'd come to the end of the line. The person working on their project was moving on and they didn't think it could be done.
One of the other directors of the company has a holiday let. He got chatting to one of the people who had come stay. It turned out he had a specific interest in this area and asked to take a look. Basically, he's figured it out! The prototype should be finished this week and they are rolling out at trade shows from next month. They've already sent out an update to existing clients and they've lined up significant interest already.
It was such a chance encounter - this is a really niche area and everything just seemed to come together at the right time. It has the potential to be massive for the business.
Just got me thinking. Has anyone else had a chance encounter that has completely changed their lives?
