A fairly weak black tea with lots of lemon slices.

MrsLizzieDarcy · 25/03/2026 22:28

M & S Decaff tea bags with a splash of unsweetened soya milk. Doesn't affect my blood sugars at all (type 2 diabetic). I have to avoid oat milk like the plague and I really like the taste - sigh.

Whoops75 · 25/03/2026 22:29

I like it strong, 2 sweeteners and a dash of milk

Tesco red label tea bags and a tiny drop of skimmed milk.

PandaG · 25/03/2026 22:32

Yorkshire tea, medium strength, with a long dash of preferably skimmed milk (semi at work and most friends' houses)

marypoppinsreturns · 25/03/2026 22:33

Usually Scottish blend or a supermarket own brand (though not the cheapest one), or any brand of ‘ordinary’ tea, and I just take a wee drop of milk, no sugar 🙂

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 25/03/2026 22:33

Also tesco red label tea bags, quite strong. Milk.

Arwen76 · 25/03/2026 22:34

Collagen powder 😄

Tonissister · 25/03/2026 22:34

Just milk. Sometimes black.

PotatoHeading · 25/03/2026 22:36

Decaff own brand with lactose free milk as has less sugar.

RosesAndHellebores · 25/03/2026 22:38

Yorkshire tea. Sometimes.Twinings strong English Breakfast with a little semi skimmed. Well brewed.

Earl Grey weak with lemon; stronger with semi sk.

Peppermint as it is.

Davros · 25/03/2026 22:41

M&S gold tea (half caff at night), strong with drop of skimmed milk, no sugar

Ihad2Strokes · 25/03/2026 22:46

Twinings English Breakfast as I'm really not bothered but my friend who drinks much more of it here than I do prefers it 🤣. I sometimes have it black sometimes with a dribble of milk.

i have much more coffee than tea. I have a faffy, Sage Barrista coffee machine, but also (since the stroke) enjoy the Costa coffee latte sachets (I stock up when Tesco have the in Tesco clubcard price special offer) and as you just add boiling water it's much easier & not many more carbs (I'm also diabetic)

begonefoulclutter · 25/03/2026 22:53

Tetley or Yorkshire tea with semi-skimmed milk.

Life's too short to not have a decent cup of tea. I'd rather cut out a lot of other things instead.

Vargas · 25/03/2026 23:09

Twinings assam tea - quite strong with semi skimmed milk and 1 sugar - yum.

Gabitule · 25/03/2026 23:13

PG tips with full fat milk and half of a teaspoon of sugar (im annoyed that I can’t cut sugar out completely).

I’m surprised PG tips is not more popular. And also that nobody seems to drink full fat milk.

RantyRant3555 · 25/03/2026 23:18

Jasmine or early grey or spiced tea light with nothing added.

If regular tea a dash of semi skimmed

1potato2potato3potato · 25/03/2026 23:22

Milk 2 sugars , however I also don't mind 0 or 1 sugar so taking 2 is a bad habit I don't need but only have 2 cups a day so guess not the end of the world

SecretBather · 25/03/2026 23:27

Strong black tea with skimmed milk- usually Clipper or F&M smoky earl grey. In the afternoon I have herbal tea- usually fennel, camomile or mint.

SummerInSun · 25/03/2026 23:27

Lots of herbal teas - there are massive ranges now, if you look in any health food store or at someone like Twinnings online store. Fruit teas, green teas, mint teas, jasmine teas, camomiles. If you are craving the sense of something sweet without any sugar, I’d try strong fruit tea. Leave the teabag in for ages. I personally love peach teas and berry teas.

If you are in London, Twinnings have a small but fun store on Fleet Street opposite the Royal Courts of Justice where you can buy singe tea bags and they have a million flavours. You can go in and get 20 different ones and see what you like. They also do boxes with selections (online too).

MissAmber · 25/03/2026 23:39

I will try decaff with no sugar
