Recent Legoland Windsor experiences: queue times in Easter and April/May?

We have been planning trip to Legoland but haven’t yet, just wondering if someone with recent experiences?
How was it overall, and what were the queues like?
What to expect during Easter and April/May — queues really bad at that time or still manageable?
Also, is it worth staying in their hotels, or better to stay nearby cheaper?
Any recent experiences or tips would be really appreciated! 😊

We went recently, opening weekend. Average 20-40 mins per ride wait time. 1 hour for one ride but that’s due to the low capacity

We went last Easter holidays and I'm sorry to say it was awful. Over an hour queue times for when the smaller basic rides. We gave up and went and sat for lunch for a few hours and it did quieten down later in the day a bit but we didn't get to do quite a few of the rides.

It was during school holidays but not over Easter weekend. A nice sunny day too so maybe also some last minute decisions to go. We are going back outside school holidays this year in the hope it is quieter 🤞

Expect long queues and prepare to even miss some rides - best to plan for later in half term (other than easter weekend)!
