Rat

Big shock this morning - cat brought in well it was outside the back door as don’t use her cat flap, a rat! I’ve seen live ones in the garden but just let them be. Luckily my brother was round before work so he disposed of the body.

I didn’t think she was able to catch rats. What should I do now? I don’t fancy putting poison in the garden.

Scoop it up and pop it outside. They’re fast little buggers though so perhaps trying to bribe it into a box with a bit of cat food or something.

Sorry I completely misread your post.

One of those plug in deterrents maybe?

deterrents worth a try

poison is slow acting and causes anything that eats it, whether rodents or anything that eats them afterwards, to die slowly from internal bleeding

The council will usually gave a free pest service depending on where you live. Ask for public protection or similar.

There are lots of rat catchers using dogs (usually trained terriers). You may not like the idea but the rats are dispatched within about 10 seconds, much kinder and safer than poisoning.

Even for outside? I’ve had them in a previous property but for mice, council.
