Thoughtful but inexpensive 10th Anniversary Gift

DH and I have agreed no grand gestures for our 10th anniversary because funds are tight, but I’d still like to get him something. We met through a shared sport hobby but neither of us have time for it now we have young DC. We used to travel a fair bit, but again, barely since kids. Without being unduly negative, the DC are hard work, life is tough and I can’t think of any inspiration, but just something meaningful to mark the occasion would be lovely. Max £50. Any ideas please?

For me the most important thing is a carefully selected card with a thoughtful message. DH and I tend to buy each other little luxuries we can’t justify treating ourselves to as much now we have kids. Things like a new record or book, fancy chocolates or really any food/drinks type thing nice coffee, favourite tipple etc. DH likes new hankies with his initials in the corner and I like cashmere or wool bed socks. If you cook you could try and recreate a meal from a destination you both enjoyed one night when the kids are in bed or if you can get a baby sitter just take him out somewhere he’ll enjoy (drink and darts at a cosy local, cinema, comedy store etc) but I think anything that shows you’ve really thought about the other person and what they like is the important thing.

10th is tin.
Key ring for the sport you did.
Metal drink holder
Does he have a favourite edible treat which comes in a tin?

Thanks both, that’s a great shout about taking time to find a good card. And actually a treats tin could be just the little keepsake I’m after.

Search 'tin anniversary card' on Etsy and there's loads of lovely ones with bits of tin stuck on.
