Progesterone. What do you take for that part of your HRT?

I’m on sequential utrogestan and 50 Everol patch. The two weeks I’m on the Utrogestan I feel horrendous. I’ve tried taking it vaginally for the last few days to see if things will improve. My anxiety, mood and irrationality are off the scale! I just don’t feel like myself anymore.

Im 39 but have been suffering for the last 2 years with symptoms. My Mother and Aunt were through menopause by 40! I’ve been on HRT since July.

I really want to feel like myself again. I miss her 😩

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My doctors are useless.

Try a mirena for the progesterone?

Have you talked to your GP about taking it continuously? It may be the spikes every two weeks are affecting you more than a stable lower daily dose would. You are young to move to this regime (and I think they say it can be considered after five years on HRT) but something to discuss?

It’s been like banging my head off a brick wall with my gp practice. I’m considering paying privately to see someone at the menopause clinic.

So I did see a specialist and they’ve decided to change my utrogestan dose to 100mg continuously. I finished my period last week and then started the new regime the next day. Well yesterday I started to bleed again and it’s been heavier than normal. The doctor hadn’t mentioned anything about bleeding 😩🤦‍♀️ I’m scared to Google!

Don’t be scared. Bleeding while it settles is normal.

Thank you. I guess I’m just scared that it’s heavier than I’m used to. I do get easily worked up and anxious. Thanks to peri!
