My marbles. My self.

OnlyTomSaidThat · 23/03/2026 19:06

My wedding ring which I think went up Henry the hoover about 10 years a go 😬

Thecomfortador · 23/03/2026 19:10

I lost a lovely vest top that had an embroidered dragonfly on it when I moved out of halls of residence a couple of decades ago. It would barely work as a bra nowadays but every now and then I wonder what happened to it as I really liked it.

AlbieJiggered · 23/03/2026 19:12

My joie de vivre. A job. The comb I left behind on holiday 22 years ago.
My hairdressing scissors. My youth. My fitness levels. My waist.

WildUnknown · 23/03/2026 19:13

My anger

a leg brace I was given and now can’t find

SixSevenShutUp · 23/03/2026 19:14

I recorded my Grandad telling stories for a college project, about 40 years ago, and didn't bother to keep it anywhere safe. I would love to find that cassette, but it's long gone.

Shittyyear2025 · 23/03/2026 19:17

My wedding ring. Went to sell it second hand but was shocked at how little I was offered. Promptly lost it in a shop changing room and didn't notice it had fallen out of my pocket until a couple of hours later.

The scissors and tweezers set I had from Body shop c1990, green plastic handles. Best set EVER.

My fountain pen from a similar period. Saw me through school, college, uni and several teaching jobs. Left it on a keyboard in a classroom and it had gone by the time I went back after break.

A cassette tape of me chattering away at 18m old.
A pair of diamond earrings that belonged to my mum.

JudgementalCat · 23/03/2026 19:23

My mojo.

parkezvous · 23/03/2026 19:24

A locket with a picture of my daughter in. Left in a hire car and never saw it again

Tipsowner · 23/03/2026 19:26

A new lip pencil that was a very good colour on! I'm still hoping it will turn up.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 23/03/2026 19:27

A beautiful silver necklace my dad gave me when I was 10. I put it away when I left to go to university and it was never seen again.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 23/03/2026 19:27

I lost a ring my friends clubbed together to buy me on my 18th, I loved it and think it went missing during a housemove 😢

Blindingbatshittery · 23/03/2026 19:30

I’m adding my misery - my self respect, I need to find a job😞

AfternoonVanessa · 23/03/2026 19:33

A locket with a sapphire my mother gave me on my wedding day. It was her 21st birthday gift from her father. Not been seen for 13 years. Many house moves.
We are completing our retirement declutter and I hope to find it. However we've had so much stolen over the years I doubt it.
I was one of four and it's the only thing my mother gave me as she didn't really want or like me.

LittleGreenDuck · 23/03/2026 19:35

My GCSE certificates. I think I must have taken them out of my National Record of Achievement (remember those?! Showing my age now!) to copy them for a job application many years ago and have no idea what happened to them.

The diamond from my engagement ring. It somehow fell out and I’ve never found it.

My running form. I probably could find that again if I put the effort in.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 23/03/2026 19:39

A watch my grandma gave me that was lost when I had to leave somewhere quickly.
A video of my grandad, lost the same time.

Divebar2021 · 23/03/2026 19:45

My birth certificate, my Lollapalooza t shirt from the very first concert they held ( circa 1990 or 1991) and my purple Cutler and Gross sunglasses also from the 90’s. I have managed to hang on to the Raybans from that period but they’re a bit tragic.

USSAthena · 23/03/2026 19:56

A tatty old measuring tape that had my Mum’s handwriting in it. Her name. She died 40 years ago. I was only 8.

Morepositivemum · 23/03/2026 19:59

My marbles. My self.

hugs, have lost self too, working on finding it again x Also wedding ring

In Ireland we have a thing where we say a little prayer to st Anthony to find things, has strangely worked on most occasions (all for small things, not the giant things listed above😅) and I’m not hugely religious btw!

AutumnLover1990 · 23/03/2026 20:02

Some sad stories here. I hope everything turns up again one day.

When we had to clear my grandparents house after they died, various photo albums my nanny had were nowhere to be found 😭 We can only think she was incredibly ruthless one day and just binned them all 😭

Great thread.

My degree certificate.

A pendant my mom bought me in new york over 20 years ago. I wore it every day until one day it just wasnt round my neck, necklace and pendant gone.

My wedding photos. Pre digital downloads.

CheerfulBunny · 23/03/2026 20:56

I had a lovely bezel set white gold diamond tennis bracelet an ex boyfriend bought me that I lost on a night out in my 20s. Some bugger must've had a very lucky find 🙄I also lost a (really quite tacky) Versace umbrella in a taxi in Paris.

anonocakey · 23/03/2026 21:08

A gold past times ring of joined hearts and flowers lost on Exmouth beach around ten years ago. A portmerion round vegetable serving dish with birds on. This disappeared from the kitchen. I'm presuming someybroke it and didn't confess but I still miss it.
