Sharing Times article about suspicious death and Met Police investigation referral

My friend's son was found dead in very suspicious circumstances. The Met Police went to extraordinary lengths to cover up this crime, but after 4 years, under pressure and campaigning by parents and friends, they have referred themselves to the IPCC. My friend has asked me to share this article in The Times via this link. It should have a share token. I am not particularly good at doing links, so I hope it works. They have set up a group to raise awareness and there are videos on you tube and instagram. All easily googleable.
The family are asking for witnesses, particularly past students and staff at UCL, as the police didn't bother to interview key witnesses at the time.
He was such a lovely boy and should have had a bright future.

Oh my word that’s absolutely tragic.
The Met police are a disgrace and not fit for purpose. The poor parents!

How absolutely awful.

The Met continue with their unprofessional, prejudiced and corrupt course no matter how many tragedies and scandals come to light.

What will it take to actual change them?

All we ever get is a new face mouthing platitudes on top of the same old shit whilst any decent officers are ostracised, sidelined and ultimately removed.

Ihavebeenaskedtosharethis · 23/03/2026 07:55

There is so much more to it than what is in the article, including a whole box of evidence disappearing from a locked room. The whole case has been horrific.

You might be better moving this thread or starting a new one in a higher traffic area of mumsnet like AIBU or Chat.
It is a bit niche here so not many people will see it.
