Early pregnancy after laparoscopy for ruptured ovarian cyst, experiences?

I’ve had a shocker of a week. Found out I was pregnant then shortly afterwards admitted to hospital with what turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst (at 4 weeks+3). I had a laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) to repair the damage - fortunately saved the ovary and tube but I lost a litre of blood (didn’t get a transfusion).

Theyve said there is a small increased chance of miscarriage but surgery was lifesaving so obviously needed to be done. Has anyone had similar and what was the outcome for the pregnancy?

Since the op I’ve felt weak and very crampy (period type cramps) but no bleeding. I’ve got a scan in 2 weeks. My hcg was 2000 and small gestational sac visible when I had the surgery, so spot on (if anything hcg a bit high) for dates, so trying to stay positive but feeling very sorry for myself.

This is a huge week of ups and downs and I’m not surprised you are on high alert. That sound extremely stressful. I hope all goes all goes well and you relax into your pregnancy over time.

Thank you for the kind message @vincettenoir.
