I've been asked to make a statement to legal aid about my ex. Never heard of this before.

Family court situation. Ongoing abuse from him that professionals are dealing with. He has a solicitor, I don't.

I've received a letter from legal aid basically asking if I agree he should get it. I've never heard of this before.

Is this common?

Tell them you are suffering DV at his hands and therefore he should not get it.

I got one for my ex. I provided proof of abuse and hidden money he still got it so personally I wouldn't bother.

Are you able to apply for it?

When i say abuse I mean neglect and emotional abuse towards our child, there's been no abuse towards me. Social services and school are involved.

I could get legal aid but can't get a solicitor. It's fine and I'm confident in court, I just don't know why legal aid would need my input, surely it's to do with his wages etc and nothing to do with me.
