We are looking to rent a house but are struggling as there is not much in our budget. Not the budget we can afford - that’s fine - it’s the budget the letting agents think we can afford (your salary must be more than 30x the rent)
Does anyone know if carers allowance is included in this calculation? I know Universal Credit isn’t and I wasn’t sure if this was viewed the same.
If we add my carers allowance to my husband’s salary it means there’s a much wider range of property in our budget.
