Credit card for holidays abroad

Myself and some female friends have decided to start having a cruise every year, this year it’s the Med, next year hopefully Caribbean. I’d like to take a credit card for emergencies, but which one? Is any one type better than the other ?

Halifax clarity card has no fees abroad.

Halifax Clarity. Recommended by Martin Lewis. For a debit card use Chase.

I’m with Halifax so that’s perfect.

If you are already with Halifax another option is their travel money thing where you pay £7 (I think that’s what it is unless it’s changed) and you can use your normal bank card abroad for the duration of your holiday without incurring any charges. We always do this.
