Paris with 14 year old DD. Where to stay?

Only been to Paris as a child so not sure best area to stay with teen DD. She’ll tolerate some sightseeing but the focus is more likely to be on shopping and pastries! Happy to use the Metro but want to stay in an area that we’ll enjoy wandering around. Any suggestions would be great.

St Germain des pres in the 6th arrondissement is a lovely neighbourhood, nice cafes, shops, very safe to wander around.

Thank you. After a lot of dithering, I’ve booked an Airbnb which I think is in that area.

Hi op I spent ages trying to find somewhere ! In the end I'm went for..hotel left bank I tried to get something close to Notre dam and the older area then I found somewhere close to chatelt des.halles (so) and people said rougher at night ! So hotel left bank it is.
