Does your child get scared after being sick?

DS9 was sick on Tuesday night. Only the once and has kept food and drink down since. He was last sick a year ago and that also happened at night, two times in a row.

He's now getting scared and upset at bedtime in case it happens again. I suffer from emetephobia and have tried to keep my feelings from him but I'm worried this hadn't worked.

Trying to establish whether this is just a normal reaction after being sick, or something more.

13yo DS had d&v 2 weeks ago and spent a week frightened of it. Give it time & don’t make a thing of it for now, hopefully will be good soon x

Thank you - that's reassuring to know. I know no one likes being sick so it's normal to an extent to worry in the immediate aftermath, but just hoping this doesn't become more.

I mentioned the BRAT diet to him last year as a good way to start eating and he seems a bit fixated with it and scared to deviate from it so don't know if I've inadvertently done the wrong thing there.
