Does anyone know about bees?

There has been an extremely large bee hanging around my kitchen window all day.

It was hovering this morning and came inside the house when the window was open. I let it out, and then it came back in through the garage door!

I let it out again and it’s still hanging around outside the window. It’s also appeared to drop a large load at one point (pollen maybe?).

I wonder what he/she wants.

It might be a queen looking to start a new nest now spring has sprung.

Yes, she’s a queen bumblebee just out of hibernation and looking for somewhere to make a nest. She’s amazing!

After I posted the bee came back in the house again.

No idea how it got in as no windows open.

Hope she finds a home soon. She was huge, well over an inch long I’d say.
