Mouldy doughnut from M&S

I bought a loaded doughnut from M&S in-store bakery yesterday lunch time as a treat to have last night. Sat eating it and noticed the base was mouldy 🤢 I e-mailed customer services with pictures of the doughnut and store location etc last night, not had a response as yet. I’ve saved the doughnut in the bakery paper bag, can’t take it back to store though as it’s a 36mile round trip. I suppose it saved me 500 calories, but I was really looking for to the doughnut 🙈 has anyone else experienced mouldy food from M&S in store bakeries?

They’ll probably send you a voucher, you might have a faster response messaging them via their facebook page. I did about a stinky prawn cocktail once 🤢

Not mould but I once bought a packet of 4 American pancakes and there were only 3 in it. I messaged them and they sent me an online voucher for a quarter of the price of the pack 😂

Tell 'um it gave you the two bob bits and push that you have a holiday coming up you haven't paid for yet, put the pressure on but in a subtle way

Companies are wise to this silliness now.

I wouldn’t expect a response quicker than 5-7 days and you’ll probably get a refund and voucher
you sure it was mould a lot of place this stuff comes frozen and it could be burnt bits off baking sheet

for a doughnut to go mouldy in t would take at least a week be dry and solid you would of noticed the stale taste and texture before the mould

It was stale tasting and had a dry texture, it was definitely mould though. It’s green!

Just to be clear @NFPorterkeeponkeepingonNsoul and @Wildgoat i have no intention of claiming I’m ill from eating the doughnut. I’m sure the person that suggested this was joking.
