Toddler passport photo

Any good mum tips for getting a toddler's passport photo? Other than turning back time and doing it when she was a baby 😩

Take them to a proper photographer or camera shop rather than a booth type place. I used to work in a camera shop and a lady came in looking for one to be done years ago. We worked out that if I held the baby/toddler and she stood by the photographer we’d get a decent photo. Word spread and I was doing them regularly that summer!

I put dd 2 in a trolley seat at b&q. Took loads until I finally got one 😂

strap them in a high chair and take video and use a screen grab

I laid mine down on a bed, made sure the white sheet was straight, and stood over them so they looked up. Tried doing it in front of a wall but thet website kept rejecting the photos because of shaddows. Good luck!

@EverythingIsComputer will try that if we don't manage to get one at home!

@BellaTheDarkOverlord haha, off to Tesco this afternoon!! 🤔

@HairsprayBabe does that work even if the background isn't plain? Seems like the easiest one to try!

You still need a plain background but you can edit a passport photo and have them still accepted - I did it on my own about 3 months ago and had no issues!

Hang a bedsheet behind them then tuck another over the top of the high chair behind the Childs back then take your photo video - then use the remove tool on your phone to edit out the back of the chair

If you have an iPhone you can hold down on the person in a photo and then copy paste them into a blank text, then save it as a photo. I’ve done this for mine and both kids recently, no issues with being accepted. Make sure both ears visible and no shadows on face.

I’ve taken my kids to Max Speilmann, they take the photos and you get them digitally plus they check them online and will tell you there and then if they will be accepted, if not they retake them

Are you taking the pic yourself? Here are some tips that could be helpful, though I really like the one about using a screenshot from a video, you'll just need to make sure it's clear and sharp enough.
Photo requirement sare much easier on kids than those for the adults, so I think it should work no problem, though if you still aren't sure or don't have enough time for re-applying after the possible decline, it's probably better to take her to a photo store, they usually do id photos!
