Would like to see any other similarly puzzling pictures :)

Crystal ball? House belonging to Gypsy Rose Lee perhaps Grin

Clementine12 · 17/03/2026 18:26

And that’s picture number 1! Why on earth would they do that instead a full frontage pic?!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 17/03/2026 18:27

Why?!

Anewerforest · 17/03/2026 18:30

I think it is one of those spheres which means an angelic being was present when the photo was taken. Ir probably isn't visible to the naked eye, but the agent should have edited the picture to remove it.

ExOptimist · 17/03/2026 18:30

It's a glass or stainless steel sphere garden fountain. All the rage about 10 or 15 years ago and were very expensive. Maybe it's trying to hint that the rest of the house has had money spent on it.

hideawayforever · 17/03/2026 18:32

Just why!!!!

Oh yes - I think you're right. It's a fountain. Still a strange choice of pic though!

Oops - sorry, I quoted the wrong person!

My immediate thought was water feature.

DameOfThrones · 18/03/2026 11:46

Looks like someone's blown up a condom at a student party.

Mochudubh · 18/03/2026 11:48

Enjoy.

That's exactly what it is. Though why the EA thought this would be a good leading photo is far more mysterious.

ArtAngel · 18/03/2026 11:52

It’s ready to hatch…

ImFineItsAllFine · 18/03/2026 11:58

They could at least have given it a clean.

Parsleyforme · 18/03/2026 12:18

I would automatically assume the outside of the house looks terrible if that’s the best picture they could come up with! Although maybe a tactic to make people click to find out what it is and then look through the rest of the photos 🤔

Thank you. 😘

Like @Mochudubh I came on to mention terrible estate agent photos. I first came across the book in Waterstones and I had to leave because I laughed so much I cried. A great way to cheer up a dull day.

Agree that this photo seems worthy of inclusion!

This made me laugh out loud!

The captions to the pictures are HILARIOUS 🤣

Mochudubh · 18/03/2026 21:02

Yes, despite the use of "Real Estate" rather than just "Estate Agent" and a lot of the photos looking American, the humour is very British, as is the spelling (colour etc) so I think it's a British site or run by a Brit..

Edited

I read it as “terrible [but] real Estate Agent photographs”
