Has anyone read “I Swear”?
I watched the documentaries years ago with my husband. It wasn’t a thing we particularly knew about but it impacted us.
Just watched them again and the third one is the best because, imo, by then John had realised it wasn’t just him. His pal shocker 🤣.
However, I think his mum was portrayed pretty harshly in the film and in reading the book, she was.
I think she was completely out of her depth, had no support and was trying to bring up her children with not a lot of input from their dad.
But John says in the book that the reason the initial documentary was made was because of his mum.
