Can't listen to anything other than BBC stations on my kitchen radio due to interference

If I try Absolute, Magic, Heart or similar on the radio in my kitchen the interference makes it impossible to listen. Everything sounds wobbly or like it's underwater. Whereas the 6 main BBC stations are all crystal clear.

Does anyone know why, and what can I do about it?

Tia.

Listen on your phone and cast from there? Assuming you have a digital radio

Have you tried moving the radio, upstairs say, and tuning there? If still interference can you return it and get a different model? Try a friend/neighbours radio in your kitchen?

You need to figure out if it’s the radio or the positioning or something else.

Or cast from your phone
or get and internet radio and stream through wi-fi - or just a speaker would do - we have a Sonos speaker which you app stream through it you can get more and link them up apparently so can have the same music/radio throughout the house as you move from room to room

Mine is the same. I've had three different DAB radios and currently have one downstairs and one upstairs. I can only get BBC radio. Exactly the same on my phone. I tried to follow Graham Norton from R2 to Virgin and never managed it.
