How do you eat a chocolate bar?

Break off a piece before putting into mouth or bite into the bar?

I'm a breaker upper.

Really quickly with a chocolate bar chaser

sunsetsites · 15/03/2026 09:20

Depends on the bar imo

Chemenger · 15/03/2026 09:21

Always break pieces off.

CarrierbagsAndPJs · 15/03/2026 09:21

With a bar with squares like caramel, dairy milk etc definitely break and eat. They are hard.

Things like mars, snickers, flakes bite into it.

Starlight40 · 15/03/2026 09:21

I break a row at a time and then I break the pieces up.

I am also a breaker-upper. But I am also a stuffer-inner. However much I try to take little nibbles and to make it last, I can't usually manage to do that. I don't like fridge-cold chocolate and if it is nicely room temperature and not chewy, I do like to let it melt in my mouth rather than chewing it.

Heyhelga · 15/03/2026 09:23

Piece by piece. I love the sound. I'm also still really annoyed kitkat stopped their foil wrapper. Used to be so satisfying piercing the foil with the finger nail and clicking the sticks off.

Grumpynan · 15/03/2026 09:23

I like white chocolate best, followed by milk. It must be cold from the fridge and snapped into chucks.

my dad used to buy mars bars slice them up and keep them in a container in the fridge his reason being he would just have a slice maybe two, but unsliced he would eat a whole bar - that didn’t work for me 🥹 I’m not that strong willed.

If it's something like a boost bar or a KitKat or any other filled bar, I nibble off the chocolate coating like I'm eating corn on the cob. Once I've stripped it bare I'll eat the middle biting chunks off.

If it's a solid bar then I break off squares and let them fully melt in my mouth without chewing.

mondaytosunday · 15/03/2026 09:26

Just plain chocolate? Yes one piece at a time. But as @CarrierbagsAndPJsanything else bite.

Dammit! I forgot to say the "All in one go" option 😅

@Heyhelga have they really?? That shows how long it's been since I've had a KitKat 😳

Ha, yeah I got rid of the foil wrap a few years ago now. KitKat chunkies are superior now anyway.

Bite into them. Whatever type

Break of a line, dip into full fat greek yoghurt in place of a spoon.
